Hyperparathyroidism
High calcium in the blood is commonly caused by one of the parathyroid glands producing too much parathyroid hormone (PTH). This can cause multiple symptoms such as tiredness, thirst, low mood, and constipation and needs to be investigated and treated by a hormone specialist. This condition is normally easily treated by an operation to remove one of the parathyroid glands.
